Les Danseuses – an installation by Atelier Oï
Who could have thought that lampshades could be so hypnotic. These were installed at the Swiss Embassy in Milan. A whole room of them that spin round and rustle slightly creating a breeze and movement like the skirts of a flamenco dancer or a whirling dervish…all the time accompanied by a fairytale-sugarplum fairy soundtrack.

ta, they were absolutely hypnotic, the breeze they created as they spun round and the fact that if you stood under one, when they stopped and hung down they would encase your head and you would find yourself inside the lamp…loved them!
