“super8” – shot on blackford hill near my flat, a temperature drop in the last week for me of 40 degrees Celsius, its -4 here.  This looks like film but was made using a Japanese digital Harinezumi video camera which simulates super 8.  The camera is a tiny plastic thingie,  looks like an old film cartridge, weighs nothing and like super 8 there is no sound (though i believe the new version now does do sound). I really like it, used it quite a lot in India and it’s brilliant when you want to film without drawing attention. I bought mine in the new museum of contemporary art in nyc, but i guess you can get it online (I also used it to shoot most of the footage of beach life in this previous post).
