non classical florence…

Back in Italy, i go to Florence with a friend in search of non classical “culture”. Having co-designed a corporate museum for Ermenegildo Zegna, am always interested to see how others have done it. We visit the recently inaugurated Gucci Museum housed in the Palazzo di Mercanzia in the Piazza della Signoria.

A history of all objects Gucci through the ages, from the sublime to the downright ridiculous…Tediously, no photography is allowed so i go into clandestine (not so great) photo taking mode…

Yes that is a lamp made from gucci riding boots and an ashtray from a gucci watch motif…classy!
